Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has urged the public and all related parties to await the KNKT investigation, which will provide comprehensive results on the causes of the accident and safety recommendations.

The National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) is still investigating the accident involving the commuter rail (KRL) and the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train at Bekasi Station on Monday, 27 April 2026.

β€œThe KNKT investigation process is conducted comprehensively and objectively, gathering facts and information from the field, considering various aspects, and comprehensive analysis. Therefore, let us all respect the process and await the investigation results to ascertain the exact cause of the accident,” stated Dudy in Jakarta on Monday (4/5/2026).

The KNKT has conducted a simulation of the railway signalling system as part of the post-incident investigation into the collision between the electric rail train (KRL) and the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek at Bekasi Timur Station.

The signalling simulation was carried out to understand possible technical causes, particularly related to the function and response of the signalling system during the incident. To date, other investigation processes are still ongoing by the KNKT.

The Ministry of Transport is committed to following up on the investigation results to enhance rail operational safety.
