Public Relations officer for the Mataram SAR Office, I Gusti Lanang Wiswananda, stated that based on initial reports, the ship fire was estimated to have occurred at 04:15 WITA. The incident location was at coordinates 8°43’12.37’S-115°47’35.93’E in the waters off Sekotong Beach, with a straight-line distance of approximately 16.84 Nautical Miles and a heading of 272.37 from the position of RB 220 Mataram.

The Rescue Team immediately moved towards the incident location to provide assistance and carry out evacuations. ‘The team departed at 04:45 WITA and was estimated to arrive at the incident location at 05:10 WITA,’ Lanang explained.
