Klungkung Waste Collection Trucks Given Priority at Fuel Stations
Klungkung Regency’s Environmental and Land Agency (DLHP) has ensured that waste collection services continue amid current queues for fuel (BBM).
DLHP head I Dewa Komang Aswin said the agency had been coordinating closely with fuel stations to secure supplies for its operational fleet. In principle, waste collection vehicles have been given priority by the stations so that services to the public are not disrupted.
“In principle, we have already been given priority by the fuel stations, because services must not be delayed,” Aswin said when contacted on Saturday (17 October 2026).
Nevertheless, he acknowledged that lengthy queues and limited stock had at times caused difficulties. The agency’s approximately 12 waste collection vehicles, which use either diesel or Dexlite, have had to take turns and make extra efforts to obtain fuel.
Supplies for vehicles using Dexlite were still relatively secure, while trucks using diesel had to queue longer at fuel stations.
“Based on the information we have, supplies are relatively secure as of today. But we continue to coordinate with the fuel stations to ensure they do not run out. There are about 12 vehicles, some using diesel and some Dexlite. Dexlite is still available, but the diesel trucks have to queue,” he added.
Aswin said the agency had so far received no reports of waste collection trucks being unable to operate because they had completely run out of fuel.
DLHP Klungkung is committed to continuing to monitor the situation to keep the environment clean across the regency and prevent rubbish from accumulating.
