Klungkung Regency Allocates Rp 97.8 Billion Grant for Arts and Traditions
The Klungkung Regency Government (Pemkab Klungkung) has disbursed social assistance grants (bansos) worth more than Rp 97.8 billion. The distribution of these grants for arts and tradition activities was carried out through the Klungkung Culture Department.
Klungkung Regent I Made Satria reminded recipient community groups to be accountable for the funds received. Satria warned against any actions that could lead to legal problems in the future.
“To that end, I remind the community to maintain orderly administration and reporting. Do not let it be found in the field that the work is not yet complete, but the report is already done. Or vice versa. If the BPK comes down, it could become a finding,” said Satria during the grant distribution at the Klungkung Cultural Hall on Friday (10/4/2026).
Head of the Klungkung Culture Department I Wayan Suteja stated that the number of community groups submitting grant proposals this year totalled 557. The grants are divided into two categories: history and tradition grants amounting to Rp 93.7 billion and arts grants amounting to Rp 4.1 billion.
“The disbursement stages have begun this month. For arts sector grants, there are two stages, while for history and tradition, there are three stages,” Suteja explained.
Meanwhile, Klungkung DPRD Chairman AA Gde Anom assessed that the Rp 97.8 billion plus grant distribution is quite substantial. He noted that Klungkung has become the second-largest regency provider of social assistance grants in Bali.
“Klungkung is number two after Badung,” said Anom.
Anom also urged all recipient community groups to be accountable for the funds received. “Do not let the proposal submitted be A, but the on-site realisation be B. Let us not play with fire,” added the PDIP politician.
On that occasion, Anom also touched on the need to maximise local own-source revenue (PAD) potential. So far, he said, Klungkung’s PAD from the tourism sector relies on tourist visits to Nusa Penida.
