Work From Home (WFH), or working from home for the sake of energy efficiency for Civil Servants (ASN), has been implemented in Klungkung Regency, Bali, this week. The ASN will be monitored using the Online Attendance Information System (Sisenso) application.

In addition to daily employee attendance, this mobile application indeed has a main feature to monitor employee performance during WFH.

“For supervision, we have Sisenso. This application has indeed been prepared by us. With this application, supervision is easy to carry out,” said Klungkung Regent I Made Satria to the media on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

Sisenso itself has existed and been developed by the Klungkung Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) since 2022. Its features include facial-based attendance, location detection, online leave applications, attendance history, and WFH status.

With Sisenso, Satria is optimistic that supervision can be carried out more maximally. Because it not only detects employee coordinate points, but also has features to monitor performance or tasks of employees while working from home.

“Administratively, it will also be orderly,” Satria explained.

Regarding sanctions for violating employees, Satria said he would implement applicable civil service rules. The form will be the same as the general employee disciplinary procedures applied in the region.

Proposal for WFH on Wednesday

At the same time, Satria also explained that several regencies/cities have proposed WFH on Wednesday to the Ministry of Home Affairs. The proposal was said to have emerged during a coordination meeting on WFH implementation with the ministry.

According to him, the Wednesday proposal was put forward considering that WFH on Friday makes the time off from the office for employees too long.

“Instead of efficiency, it becomes wasteful. That’s why Wednesday is proposed. If it’s in the middle, it will be different,” Satria explained.

Nevertheless, his side will still follow the central government’s instructions to implement WFH on Friday.

“But we are also ready to carry out WFH following the central government’s instructions,” he concluded.
