KL minister suggests suing S'pore

MALAYSIA: Trade minister urged people whose livelihood was
adversely affected by a a Singaporean land-reclamation project in
waters separating the two countries to sue the island republic.

Rafidah Aziz's comments were among the strongest yet in a
current flap between both countries concerning the Singaporean
project, which Malaysia believes could threaten its vital
shipping lanes.

"If the reclamation continues, those affected should sue
Singapore," Rafidah was quoted as saying by the national news
agency, Bernama.

Rafidah identified fishermen and port and factory operators as
among those entitled to file suit seeking compensation for
alleged losses. --AP
