SINGAPORE (Reuters): Finance ministers from the Group of 15 developing countries, as well as Japan, China, Australia and India are expected to attend a conference in Kuala Lumpur in December, the organizers said on Thursday.
The ASEAN Business Forum (ABF) conference, entitled "ASEAN Financial Initiatives for the 21st Century", would also feature a panel discussion with all the ASEAN finance ministers.
To be held on December 1-3, the conference will be opened by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and also have International Monetary Fund Managing Director Michel Camdessus present a paper.
The ABF groups business leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which includes Singapore, Burma, Vietnam, Thailand, Brunei, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
