KL govt websites stuck in 1999
KUALA LUMPUR (AP): Even while Malaysia touts itself as the future Silicon Valley of Southeast Asia, at least four government ministries have not updated their websites since 1999.
The Star daily newspaper reported on Monday that although the new cabinet was announced a month ago, several sites still use the name of the former ministers.
The information ministry's website, for example, still listed Mohamed Rahmat as the minister, even though Khalil Yaacob took over the job last May. The homepages of the ministries of home, finance and national unity and social development were also still stuck in the 20th century, with former ministers still listed.
The website of Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad was the most comprehensive and up-to-date, according to the Star.
