KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Malaysia's total media advertising
expenditure for 1995 rose 23.1 percent to two billion ringgit
(US$800 million), a news report said Saturday.

double-digit growth since 1989, except for 1993 when media
advertising expenditure expanded by only eight percent, The Star
said.
Newspapers captured a 56 percent share of the total
advertisement revenue for last year, according to the Survey
Research Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. report published in the newspaper.
The print sector recorded a 24.1 percent growth to 1.13

But revenue growth in radio advertisements was the highest.
