KKP Minister Receives Unqualified Opinion from BPK for 2025 Financial Report

The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) for its central government financial report for the 2025 fiscal year.

Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono stated that the KKP has consistently maintained the WTP predicate thanks to orderly financial management in line with government accounting standards.

“This means we are consistently improving our performance, and we will continue to maintain what is already good,” the Minister said when met by the media at the BPK office in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Trenggono said the WTP opinion is considered an appreciation of the ministry’s performance and sound financial reporting during the 2025 period. He also expressed hope that for the 2026 fiscal year, there will be no recommendations from the BPK, indicating that the ministry’s performance has been carried out well.

“We have resolved more than 85 per cent of last year’s recommendations. So we hope that this year we can reach zero, meaning no recommendations, which signifies our performance is good.”

The BPK conducted a detailed examination of the KKP’s financial report to ensure accountability in asset management and state budget expenditure. The issuance of derivative regulations, such as ministerial regulations concerning technical recommendations for fisheries product management, forms part of the evaluation to improve operational systems.
