Kiwi Brands aids Java infants

JAKARTA: Some 1,000 infants under five in Java have received donations of food worth Rp 250 million from Kiwi Brands Indonesia (KBI) director Don Gadsden through the Ministry of Health, Antara reported Wednesday.

The donation will be distributed to 400 children in Jakarta and 150 children respectively in Bandung, Yogyakarta, Semarang and Surabaya.

"This donation means a lot for the children as they were hit hardest by the impact of malnutrition stemming from the crisis," Dini Latief of the ministry's nutrition directorate said. (edt)
