KITE IKM Facility Opens Wider Export Opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises in Pekalongan
Tegal Customs Authority has granted the Import Facility for Export Purposes for Small and Medium Industries (KITE IKM) to CV Devaraka Jaya Manunggal on Wednesday 4 February 2026, as an effort to encourage local SMEs to increase production capacity and expand export markets.
CV Devaraka Jaya Manunggal is a small and medium-sized enterprise engaged in textile production with an orientation towards exports to overseas markets. Located in Pekalongan Regency, the company previously operated as a clothing manufacturer for the domestic market before expanding its business reach to the export market.
The KITE IKM facility received is expected to drive business growth, expand export markets, and create more employment opportunities for the surrounding community.
Moch Arif Setijo Noegroho, Head of Tegal Customs Office, explained that the KITE IKM facility is a fiscal incentive provided to SME operators in the form of deferral of import duties and exemption from Value-Added Tax (VAT) on the import of raw materials used for the production process of exported goods.
“Through this facility, the recipient company can have more flexible cash flow, thereby supporting increased production capacity and competitiveness,” he said in an official statement on Wednesday 11 March 2026.
Arif emphasised that Customs is committed to continuing to support the growth and development of SMEs in its working area. He also encouraged business operators not to hesitate in submitting permits and utilising the facilities provided by the government, as well as remaining vigilant against fraud schemes using the Customs Authority’s name.
“All services at Customs are free of charge. Therefore, we urge business operators to be vigilant against parties claiming to represent Customs and requesting money, given that recently there have been many fraud schemes using this method,” he concluded.
