KIPG 2026 Generates Added Value of Rp154 Billion
The 2026 Gresik Petrochemical Innovation Convention (KIPG), organised by state-owned fertiliser holding company PT Petrokimia Gresik, has generated value creation reaching Rp154 billion. Additionally, various innovations developed by company personnel at KIPG 2026 produced direct financial benefits of Rp68 billion.
Petrokimia Gresik President Director Daconi Khotob stated that the continuity of KIPG, now in its 40th year, demonstrates the company’s commitment to building a strong and sustainable innovation culture. KIPG serves as a platform for developing an innovation culture that has spawned various breakthroughs to strengthen the company’s competitiveness and sustainability.
“The innovation culture at Petrokimia Gresik continues to grow and develop positively,” he said. The high level of employee involvement in innovation reflects that the spirit of creative thinking, making improvements, and contributing has become part of the company’s work culture. This strong innovation culture is reflected in employee participation that has steadily increased year on year, reaching 95 per cent in 2024, 97 per cent in 2025, and 98 per cent at KIPG 2026.
According to Daconi, this achievement proves that innovation not only generates new ideas but also delivers measurable added value for the company. “We recognise the importance of innovation for the company, particularly in carrying out the mandate of distributing subsidised fertiliser to realise national food self-sufficiency,” he said.
A total of 1,799 innovation clusters participated in KIPG 2026, which carried the theme “Driving Efficiency, Creating Value”. On the occasion, Daconi also expressed appreciation to the best innovators who have produced various breakthroughs and solutions to support the company’s operations. Over four decades, he added, KIPG has been the driving force behind innovations that contribute to improving efficiency, productivity, operational reliability, and strengthening Petrokimia Gresik’s role in supporting national food security.
