KIP Kuliah SNBT 2026 Results: 39,662 Applicants Eligible via DTSEN
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) has released updated data on eligibility for the Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP Kuliah) scholarship under the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT) 2026 pathway. Following verification through the new system, 39,662 applicants have been deemed eligible for the financial aid.
The verification process uses the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN) system to ensure government education assistance is accurately targeted at students in genuine economic need.
Acting Head of the Higher Education Financing and Assessment Centre (PPAPT), Sandro Mihradi, explained that DTSEN replaces the previous DTKS as the primary reference for social assistance disbursement. He stated during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday (25 May): “DTSEN is the official replacement for DTKS as the main reference for social assistance distribution.”
He added that the use of DTSEN follows Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2025 to enhance the effectiveness and accountability of social assistance disbursement, including higher education aid. Operational guidelines for KIP Kuliah disbursement via DTSEN are detailed in Ministerial Regulation No. 2 of 2026, prioritising very poor and vulnerable populations (decile 1 to 4 in the DTSEN system).
Of the 46,456 applicants who did not meet eligibility criteria under DTSEN data, 2,656 had their data not yet included in the national desil system. To ensure students’ rights are accommodated, Kemdiktisaintek has instructed universities to conduct further verification and validation for additional KIP Kuliah recipients.
Total SNBT 2026 applicants for KIP Kuliah stood at 86,118, but only 39,662 (46%) met the financial criteria after data synchronisation with DTSEN. The new system provides more accurate validation of applicants’ economic status compared to previous self-reporting methods.
Students who passed SNBT but are not listed in the DTSEN eligibility database are advised to follow their respective public universities’ procedures to determine the Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT) fee based on family economic capacity.
