KIP Kuliah 2026 Independent Pathway Registration Schedule and Requirements
Registration for the Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) Kuliah 2026 programme via the independent pathway (Jalur Mandiri) opened this month. The registration phase will close at the end of October 2026. Citing its official website, KIP Kuliah 2026 independent pathway registration opened on 15 June 2026 and will close on 31 October 2026. The registration schedule is subject to change, so prospective applicants are advised to check official information regularly.
Requirements for KIP Kuliah 2026 Recipients:
Recipients must be graduates of Senior High School (SMA), Vocational High School (SMK), or equivalent forms who graduated in the current year or a maximum of two years prior.
They must have passed the new student admission selection through all entry pathways to Academic or Vocational Higher Education Institutions, both public (PTN) and private (PTS), in officially accredited study programmes registered in the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education system.
They must have economic limitations or come from poor/vulnerable families, supported by valid documentary evidence.
Economic Requirements for KIP Kuliah 2026 Recipients:
The economic requirements stipulate that recipients are students from poor/vulnerable families who have undergone university verification, with the following priority order:
Holders of the Secondary Education Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) registered in the National Integrated Social and Economic Data (DTSEN) at a maximum of decile 4, who passed the National New Student Admission Selection (SNPMB) through the Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP) or Test-Based National Selection (SNBT) pathways.
Holders of the Secondary Education Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) registered in the DTSEN at a maximum of decile 4, who passed the Independent Selection for University Admission at public and private universities.
Students who passed university admission through all selection pathways at public and private universities, whether already registered in DTSEN or not yet registered but meeting the poor/vulnerable criteria, as evidenced by:
Proof of combined gross monthly income of parents/guardians below the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) of the student’s domicile of origin.
Proof of family poverty in the form of a Certificate of Indigence (SKTM) issued and legalised by the government, at minimum at the village/kelurahan level, stating the family’s poor or indigent status, accompanied by supporting evidence such as electricity bills and house photographs. All documents and evidence will be verified and validated by the Higher Education Institution.
