REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JEDDAH — His Majesty King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, expressed gratitude for the honour bestowed upon the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve the Two Holy Mosques and pilgrims during this year’s Hajj season. He also extended Eid al-Adha greetings to Muslims worldwide.

‘We are grateful to Allah for the honour of serving the Two Holy Mosques and caring for pilgrims at His Sacred House (Baitullah),’ King Salman said on Wednesday.

The King also prayed that the Hajj rituals and good deeds performed by pilgrims would be accepted by Allah. ‘With the arrival of this blessed Eid al-Adha, we extend our greetings to our people in this blessed nation and to Muslims worldwide. We pray that Allah makes this Eid a time of blessings, peace, and stability for our nation and the entire world. May you all remain in goodness every year,’ King Salman added, according to Saudi Gazette.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning, coinciding with the first day of Eid al-Adha, pilgrims began the ritual of stoning the devil at Mina. Pilgrims threw seven pebbles at Jamarat al-Aqaba amid smoothly managed crowd movements with well-organised crowd management plans.

Previously, on Tuesday night, nearly 1.7 million pilgrims moved from Arafat to Muzdalifah after performing the most essential Hajj rite, wuquf, in a safe and solemn atmosphere.

Security and service teams were deployed across the holy sites to facilitate the movement of pilgrims from Arafat to Muzdalifah. In Muzdalifah, pilgrims stayed overnight before proceeding to Mina on Wednesday morning to complete the remaining Hajj rituals, including Tawaf al-Ifadah.
