King Bolkiah visits Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Brunei's King Hassanal Bolkiah arrived
here yesterday for a four-day official visit to strengthen
bilateral ties between the two countries.

The Brunei king was met at the airport by Prime Minister
Mahathir Mohamad, Bernama news agency reported.

The visit, at the invitation of Malaysian King Tuanku Ja'afar,
was to reciprocate a trip to the oil-rich country by the
Malaysian monarch.

An official ceremonial welcome was given to the royal guest at
Parliament Square immediately after his arrival.
