Killer of a primary-school pupil in West Bandung turns out to be the step-brother; this is how the suspect ended his younger sibling's life
MZ (28) was named as a suspect in the murder of a child identified as ASA (12). The suspect, who is the victim’s step-brother, was brought to Cimahi Police Resort on Wednesday (4 March 2026) for further questioning. Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Niko Nurallah Adi Putra said that, according to preliminary investigations, the suspect admitted to killing his step-sibling on Tuesday (3 March 2026) at the victim’s home in Kampung Warung Tiwu, RT 02/16, Desa Cipatat, Kecamatan Cipatat, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, West Java. “This perpetrator is the victim’s step-sibling. Yesterday, the perpetrator deliberately came here to meet the parents. When he arrived at the house, the parents were not at home, but the victim was there,” Niko said when contacted. After that, the suspect went to the back of the house and found a sharp weapon in the form of a parang. Then MZ went to the second floor of the house and immediately killed the victim who was still in the 6th grade at SDN 1 Sukarame. The suspect slashed the throat and stabbed the waist area, cutting the victim’s arm until death. “The perpetrator briefly went to the back. The victim’s house, at the back, had remnants of an old building. There he entered, carrying a parang, and ultimately injured the victim with several wounds, according to the perpetrator’s statement. It happened before noon,” Niko added.
