Kick-Off at ITB: Pertamina Goes to Campus 2026 Prepares Global Stage for Young Innovators
PT Pertamina (Persero) is committed to continuously igniting the spirit of Energizing Indonesia by once again holding the Pertamina Goes to Campus (PGTC) 2026 programme.
The PGTC programme serves as a strategic platform for students across Indonesia to hone their innovation, competencies, and leadership in responding to the increasingly dynamic global energy challenges.
Unlike previous editions, PGTC 2026 is more extensive through a series of roadshows in five major Indonesian cities.
Carrying the theme “Energizing Acceleration for Future Impact,” the programme is designed as a bridge for the younger generation to transform from students into agents of change in the energy sector.
Vice President (VP) of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron, stated that students are a national asset that will determine the direction of Indonesia’s energy independence in the future.
“Pertamina believes that great innovations always start from campus. Through PGTC 2026, we want to provide the widest possible space for the younger generation to explore, innovate, and create real impact,” he said in a written statement received by Kompas.com on Wednesday (13/5/2026).
Baron emphasised that the programme is part of Pertamina’s ongoing commitment to preparing future leaders who are ready to take Indonesia towards energy independence.
He explained that PGTC 2026 this time is even more prestigious and reaches global levels. This is manifested by featuring two main categories that challenge students’ creativity and intelligence.
At the national level, the PGTC series includes the Energynovation Ideas Competition (EIC) and the Energy Debate Championship (EDC).
At the regional level, PGTC 2026 presents the Energy AdSport Challenge (EAC), which combines creativity and collaborative spirit through Advertising and Creative Competition, sports competitions, and Social Media Activation.
The best winners in the EDC and EIC categories will also have the opportunity to participate in an overseas programme with all costs covered by Pertamina.
The programme is a continuation of the previous year’s success, where champions had the chance to attend a short course at Tsinghua University, China.
The PGTC 2026 series will begin with the kick-off ceremony at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) on Thursday, the third week of May 2026.
The event will be filled with inspirational agendas, such as Energizing Talk, technology exhibitions at exhibition booths, and the start of the preliminary competition rounds.
Through these channels, students can also register for attendance at the kick-off ceremony either in person or online.
