KI and Jakarta Provincial Government Discuss Key Instruments for Public Information Disclosure
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Information Commission (KI) and the Jakarta Provincial Government are discussing the primary instruments for public information disclosure as part of the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) for Public Information Disclosure for the year 2026, alongside the Jakarta Provincial Department of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics (Kominfotik).
“Coordination with the Kominfotik Department is necessary to ensure that the implementation of the Monitoring and Evaluation process is effective, measurable, and sustainable,” said Agus Wijayanto Nugroho, Commissioner of the Jakarta KI for Information Dispute Resolution, in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He stated that the meeting focused on the development of the electronic Monitoring and Evaluation (E-Monev) system and the refinement of assessment indicators as the primary instruments for the 2026 Public Information Disclosure Monitoring and Evaluation.
According to him, there were two main substances discussed in the meeting: the development of the E-Monev application and the adjustment of assessment indicators to meet the needs and regulations applicable in the Province of DKI Jakarta.
“The Jakarta KI hopes that the implementation of the 2026 Monitoring and Evaluation will be supported by an integrated system that meets regional needs,” said Agus.
In addition to application development, the commission also seeks input to refine assessment indicators so that they do not merely measure the implementation of public information disclosure, but also the level of compliance of public bodies with applicable regulations.
Meanwhile, Syali, Head of the Public Information Division of the Jakarta Kominfotik Department, explained technically that the development of the E-Monev website and application can be facilitated while adhering to the governance regulations of the Jakarta Provincial Government.
“From a technical perspective, there are no significant obstacles. However, further coordination is required to ensure that regulatory aspects, system integration, and governance can proceed in accordance with applicable provisions,” Syali noted.
Furthermore, he expressed hope that the 2026 Public Information Disclosure Monitoring and Evaluation can be conducted more optimally, encouraging an increase in the quality of public information services within public bodies in the Jakarta Provincial Government environment.
“The development of the E-Monev system is also expected to serve as a best practice that can be continuously and sustainably developed to support the realisation of transparent, accountable, and informative government governance,” Syali concluded.
