Kholidin Aims for Asian Para Games 2026 Gold

Indonesian para-archer Kholidin is aiming for a gold medal at the 2026 Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, in October. Kholidin collected two golds and one silver at the ASEAN Para Games 2026 in Thailand two months ago. ‘Just the best possible (target). Ideally gold, but God willing,’ Kholidin told reporters at an iftar gathering at the office of KONI Jakarta Province in Central Jakarta on Sunday. Kholidin has three golds, two silvers, and one bronze from two editions of APG, but he has yet to win a medal at the Asian Para Games. He won one gold, one silver, and one bronze at APG 2022, and two golds and one silver at APG 2026, which helped Indonesia become the overall archery champion with a total of five golds, two silvers, and three bronzes. Kholidin described the Asian Para Games as a premier stage for archers worldwide. He is confident his preparations will be even more serious. After taking part in the event with NPC Jakarta Pusat, he flew to Solo to join the training centre. ‘This preparation will be stricter, meaning more enthusiasm and of course more challenging,’ he said. ‘We are implementing the coach’s programme; we are simply taking it in stride. So we will go all out for all targets.’
