Khofifah ensures stable prices and stock of essential goods after Eid
Surabaya (ANTARA) - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa has ensured that the prices and stock of essential goods remain stable after Eid or Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, during her inspection at Ponorogo’s Legi Market alongside Acting Regent (Plt) Lisdyarita of Ponorogo. “This Syawal, we aim to ensure that the stabilisation of sembako distribution is safe and smooth,” Khofifah stated in a comment received in Surabaya on Friday. Khofifah noted that the distribution of essential goods at Ponorogo’s Legi Market is running smoothly, while prices tend to be stable or even decreasing in some cases. “Chicken meat prices have dropped quite significantly, beef prices have also fallen, while rice prices are stable,” she said. Based on monitoring results, prices of several strategic commodities are under control. Bird’s eye chillies are in the range of Rp40,000 to Rp60,000 per kilogram, large chillies Rp30,000 per kilogram, shallots Rp27,000–Rp30,000 per kilogram, and garlic Rp22,000–Rp25,000 per kilogram. For main food commodities, chicken eggs are in the range of Rp27,000–Rp30,000 per kilogram. Rice prices are also relatively stable, with Stabilisation of Food Supply and Price (SPHP) rice around Rp57,000 per 5 kilograms, medium rice Rp12,800–Rp13,000 per kilogram, and premium rice Rp14,700–Rp15,000 per kilogram.
