Khofifah dispatches EPIK Mobile trucks to control inflation in East Java
Surabaya (ANTARA) - The Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, dispatched EPIK Mobile trucks to control inflation in 15 regencies and cities in East Java from the State Building of Grahadi, Surabaya, on Thursday.
“These EPIK trucks will operate in 15 regencies and cities. Let us dispatch the trucks that will go to Bangkalan today by saying ‘bismillah’. Hopefully, it will be made easy and bring benefits,” said Governor Khofifah.
The dispatch of the trucks is part of the High Level Meeting of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) and the Regional Digitalisation Acceleration Team (TP2DD) of the East Java Provincial Government, which was attended by leaders of vertical agencies, regents/mayors from 38 regions, and representatives of business actors.
In the activity, EPIK Mobile carries a number of strategic food commodities, including 2 tons of medium rice for the Stabilisation of Supply and Food Prices (SPHP), 2 tons of East Java CETTAR rice, 100 cartons of cooking oil, and 1 ton of granulated sugar.
“EPIK is a program that embodies the integration of inflation control in East Java and is a form of implementation of the strategy of affordability, availability of supply, smooth distribution, and effective communication (4K) of the TPID,” said Khofifah.
The Governor expressed her gratitude that EPIK Mobile will reach various regencies and cities in East Java.
In the future, the program will continue to be developed to all regencies and cities so that supplies can be distributed well and inflation remains controlled.
On the occasion, Governor Khofifah also expressed her appreciation to the Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for East Java Province, Ibrahim, as the Deputy Chairman II of the TPID and TP2DD of East Java Province, for the support of vehicle grants for inflation control.
“This shows that strengthening the economy, stabilising prices, and controlling inflation are our shared tasks. It is impossible for us to maintain our food security without synergy. So, I would like to thank BI for contributing to controlling inflation together with us,” she said.
