Khamenei Killed in US-Israel Attack While at Office on Saturday Morning

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been killed in a war initiated by attacks from the United States and Israel on the country. Iranian media reported that Khamenei was killed whilst at his office.

According to Al-Jazeera reporting on Sunday, 1 March 2026, the Iranian news agencies IRNA and Fars reported that Khamenei was killed at his office whilst performing “duties assigned to him” on Saturday, 28 February morning.

However, no further detailed reports concerning his killing have been announced. The Iranian government has reportedly declared 40 days of mourning.
