Kesowo turns back on reporters

JAKARTA: State Secretary/Cabinet Secretary Bambang Kesowo, would rather blow raspberries than answering undesirable questions, as he demonstrated to several journalists at the State Palace on Thursday.

When asked whether he has received candidates for the Indonesian Military chief from President Megawati Soekarnoputri, Bambang, grim faced, answered only by blowing a raspberry as he walked away from reporters.

Unlike the days when he was the secretary of then vice president Megawati, Bambang has grown increasingly distant from reporters.

He would simply answer questions by nodding or completely disregarding questions aimed at him.

"If he doesn't want to answer, he could just say so," one disgruntled reporter said.--JP
