Kerry, Son of Riza Chalid, to Testify as Crown Witness After Eid Holiday
JAKARTA — Muhamad Kerry Adrianto Riza, beneficial owner of PT Orbit Terminal Merak (OTM) and PT Jenggala Maritim Nusantara (JMN), will be examined as a crown witness on 30 March 2026.
He will testify in the continuation hearing of the Pertamina crude oil governance corruption case involving defendants Arief Sukmara, Director of Gas Petrochemical at PT PIS, and Indra Putra, Director of PT Petro Energi Nusantara and Business Development Manager of PT Mahameru Kencana Abadi.
“(The hearing is adjourned) to Monday 30 March 2026, after Eid, as for the crown witness you mentioned, this is not for the current co-defendants, but from the previous cluster (Kerry’s),” said Chief Judge Adek Nurhadi during proceedings at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Wednesday (11 March 2026).
Five crown witness names were discussed, all of whom must be presented specifically for the cases against Indra Putra and Arief Sukmara.
In addition to Kerry, the prosecution will present Dimas Werhaspati, Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim Nusantara; and Gading Ramadhan Joedo, Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim and President Director of PT Orbit Terminal Merak.
Also present will be Yoki Firnandi, President Director of PT PIS, and Agus Purwono, VP of Feedstock Management at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (PT KPI).
Kerry was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment and a fine of Rp 1 billion, with alternative confinement of 190 days, plus restitution of Rp 2.9 trillion, alternatively 5 years’ imprisonment.
Gading and Dimas each received 13 years’ imprisonment with a fine of Rp 1 billion, alternatively 190 days’ imprisonment.
Agus Purwono was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rp 1 billion, alternatively 190 days’ imprisonment. Yoki Firnandi received 9 years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rp 1 billion, alternatively 190 days’ imprisonment.
The defendants are believed to have caused state financial losses of approximately Rp 25,439,881,674,368.30 (Rp 25.4 trillion) and USD 2,732,816,820.63 (USD 2.7 billion).
