'Keroncong' music contest

JAKARTA (JP): A keroncong music contest for mayoralty level
will be held by the South Jakarta Mayoralty on Jan. 11.

South Jakarta's coordinating body for keroncong, Portuguese-
influenced, music announced on Saturday that the contest will be
open to any keroncong group based in South Jakarta.

Each contestant is obliged to present three female and male
singers, who are to appear in traditional garb, batik or formal
dress.

Each group should have seven, eight or nine members. The
musical instruments will be made available by the organizing
