Kepulauan Seribu provides training for micro-enterprises in modern beverage production

The Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Office (Nakertransgi) of the Kepulauan Seribu Regency has provided education to micro-entrepreneurs and mentored participants to learn production techniques for various modern and refreshing beverages.

The Head of the Kepulauan Seribu Nakertransgi, Togas Braini, explained that training participants gained skills in concocting various types of drinks, such as Mango Lassi, Roasted Milk Tea, Palm Sugar Coffee, Bir Pletok, Boba Latte, Wedang Ronde, Almond Latte, Fruit Punch, Moccacino, and Lemon Lemongrass.

“This training represents the government’s commitment to improving the quality of community skills, aiming to encourage the formation of independent workers,” said the Head of Nakertransgi, Togas Braini, in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Togas stated that the training, which is the final cohort of the year and lasted for five days, was attended by ten participants.

The participants consisted of community cadres and Jakpreneur members mentored from Pramuka Island and Panggang Island.

The beverage business training was selected by considering the market potential within the Kepulauan Seribu region.

Togas assessed that Pramuka Island, as the regency’s administrative centre and one of the leading tourist destinations, possesses significant business opportunities, particularly in the field of fresh and modern beverages.

The material provided included not only production techniques but also basic managerial knowledge to equip them with the tools to develop businesses with high economic value.

According to Togas, the training can enhance business and managerial skills to increase production and the local economy of the residents.

One resident of Pramuka Island, Maryamah, said she learned how to make various drinks and gained knowledge regarding strategies to attract customers.

“Of course, I will try to apply this knowledge for my family first, and then it can become a new menu for sale to increase my family’s income,” she said.
