Kepri, Mesuji, and Sungai Penuh Win Categories for Poverty Reduction and Stunting
The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) has presented Appreciation Awards to Local Governments in the category of Poverty Reduction and Stunting. Mesuji Regency, Pekanbaru City, and Riau Islands Province received the awards.
The award ceremony for local governments with the best performance was held at Wyndham Opi Hotel in Palembang on Saturday (25/4/2026) starting at 4:00 PM WIB. The event was also broadcast live via the detikcom streaming platform.
The awards were given to the top three at the regency and city levels, as well as one top performer at the provincial level. The awards were presented by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya.
This category evaluates the commitment and performance of local governments in tackling poverty and accelerating the reduction of stunting in an integrated manner.
The assessment covers programme convergence, service achievements, and the effectiveness of interventions up to the village level.
Additionally, the rate of reduction in stunting and poverty is evaluated as tangible results. Regional innovations serve as added value in delivering creative, adaptive, and impactful solutions.
The 2026 Outstanding Local Government Appreciation event is a collaboration between Kemendagri and detikcom. In addition to the awards, detikcom and Kemendagri are presenting the FORUM AKSELERATOR NEGERI, a national collaborative platform designed to bring together the central government, local governments, business actors, investors, MSMEs, academics, and the public in one ecosystem of dialogue and action.
