Kepri Health Department: PKG Programme Shows Positive Trend
The Kepri Provincial Health Department (Dinkes Kepri) reported positive trends in the free health programme (PKG) service delivery up to the 21st week of implementation, with high public participation and healthcare services involvement at the regency/city level. Acting Head of Dinkes Kepri Yosei Susanti stated that, as of 25 May 2026, 193,763 people had registered for the PKG, with 184,730 attendees, representing a 95.3% attendance rate. Meanwhile, 137,917 people have completed the PKG services, she added.
She noted that the PKG implementation in Kepri has met a significant portion of the annual target. Out of a total population of 2,244,482, 8.2% have undergone health checks, with 17.9% of the 2026 PKG target achieved. Batam City recorded the highest number of PKG participants with 111,781, followed by Bintan Regency with 32,042 and Karimun Regency with 20,696.
Furthermore, the PKG targets schoolchildren. To date, 52,115 schoolchildren have participated, representing 11.5% of the set target. Primary schools accounted for the highest proportion of check-ups at 58.8%, followed by senior high schools at 22.5% and junior high schools at 18.7%, she said.
Yosei added that Dinkes Kepri is pushing for cross-sector collaboration with regency/city governments, community health centres, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions to increase public health check-up coverage. Dinkes Kepri hopes the PKG will strengthen preventive and promotional health efforts while improving early detection of disease risk factors, particularly in the Kepri region. For those yet to join PKG, registration can be done online via the Satu Sehat Mobile app or by visiting the nearest community health centre. “Residents should not wait until they are unwell to undergo health checks at community health centres,” Yosei said.
