Kepri Governor outlines Asta Cita programme achievements at 81st Independence Day commemoration
Kepulauan Riau (Kepri) Governor Ansar Ahmad has outlined the achievements of the Asta Cita programme of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the provincial-level commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
“We appreciate all stakeholders and the public who have jointly overseen the implementation of the Asta Cita programme in Kepri, which has proceeded safely and smoothly,” said Governor Ansar in his speech while serving as inspector of the 81st Independence Day ceremony at the Regional Building in Tanjungpinang on Monday.
Ansar detailed the achievements of the Asta Cita programme in Kepri, including the strengthening of border areas through school-based national awareness campaigns targeting approximately 15,000 senior high school and vocational school students.
“We are currently continuing to coordinate with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to expedite the operation of free nutritious meal (MBG) kitchens in underdeveloped, frontier and outermost (3T) areas,” he said.
Next, the Kampung Nelayan Marah Putih (KNMP) fishermen’s village programme, from a target of 119 locations, has seen four locations built — three in Batam and one in Natuna — while the remaining 115 are still in progress.
Furthermore, the Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) village cooperative programme has realised 407 cooperative units across seven regencies and cities in the province, including a national pilot cooperative managing Indonesia’s first solar power plant (PLTS) panel installation, operated by KDKMP Pulau Sembur in Batam.
The Sekolah Rakyat (People’s School) programme has been realised in three locations, namely Tanjungpinang, Anambas Islands and Natuna.
Meanwhile, for the three million houses programme in Kepri, 9,739 units have been realised, and the Free Health Check (CKG) programme has reached 295,527 beneficiaries throughout 2026.
Ansar said the overview of the Asta Cita programme implementation serves as an indication of alignment, harmony and continuity in bolstering the development spirit in Kepri.
He therefore invited all elements of society to make the 81st Independence Day commemoration a momentum to unite steps, resolve and spirit in filling independence through accelerated development across all fronts.
“Never retreat even a single step, never recede even when battered by high waves, and never waver even when strong winds blow, because the spirit of independence will continue to be raised from every inch of the thousands of islands in this Land of Segantang Lada,” said Ansar.
