Kent Resigns and Alleges Hidden Agenda Behind American Aggression Towards Iran

In his resignation letter to US President Donald Trump as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent stated that he supported the “values and foreign policy” championed by Trump in 2016, 2020, and 2024, which he believed had been implemented during Trump’s first term.

Kent noted that during his first term, Trump had understood better than any modern president how to apply military power decisively without dragging the United States into endless wars.

However, at the outset of his second term, Kent alleged that “senior Israeli officials and influential members of the American media have launched a comprehensive disinformation campaign that completely undermines your ‘America First’ platform and is sowing pro-war sentiment to push for war with Iran”.

“This echo chamber is being used to deceive you into believing that Iran represents a genuine threat to the United States, and that you must attack now, because there is a clear path to swift victory,” Kent added.

“This is a lie and it is the same tactic that Israel used to draw us into the catastrophic Iraq War,” he concluded.

In a separate development, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that his country would not send troops to participate in any war against Iran.
