Kendari shaken by tremors
KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Kendari was rocked by seven tremors, measuring between three and four on the Richter scale, on Monday night through Tuesday morning.
There were no reports of casualties although cracks developed in some buildings, Antara reported.
Simon Sandun Srijatno, the chief of the Kendari Port Administration, said his office was monitoring the impact of the tremors on shipping services around the province, fearing that ships could have been affected by the quakes.
Many residents rushed out of their homes in panic when they felt the tremors.
