Kemnaker to lay out a career pathway for National Internship alumni

Jakarta — The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) is committed to preparing a career pathway for National Internship alumni as part of bridging their transition into the labour market, both domestically and overseas. Minister of Manpower Yassierli, in a statement from Jakarta on Saturday, said the career pathway step will be implemented through the digital transition from Magang Nasional or MagangHub to KarirHub, under the SIAPkerja ecosystem. “Through this transition, internship alumni will no longer merely complete training programmes at companies, but will be directed directly into a fully integrated job-market platform with thousands of trusted vacancies,” the Minister said. Further, the Minister explained that through KarirHub, MagangHub alumni can immediately enter portfolios and real-world experience gained during their internships into their professional profiles. The job-matching system on KarirHub will automatically match the alumni’s competencies with the specific needs of recruiters. He added that to broaden labour absorption, Kemnaker has also integrated the system with various leading private job portals such as Glints, Jobstreet, Kalibrr, and KitaLulus. “The experience gained during the internship period is a highly valuable selling point in the eyes of companies,” said Minister Yassierli. “Participation in National Internship has proven to enlarge the opportunities for young talents to attract the attention of professional recruiters, broaden communication access to a range of nationally-scaled companies, and simplify the entire job-application process,” he added. The transition process to KarirHub can be undertaken by the public via the SIAPkerja ecosystem on the official site https://karirhub.kemnaker.go.id/. This process starts with digital account registration, continues with completing personal profile data comprehensively. Users are then directed to select desired job interests, upload their best CV, and input internship experiences from MagangHub into their profiles. Once the profile is complete, users can immediately actively search for and apply to available vacancies.
