Kemkomdigi Ensures Budget is on Target for Public Services
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) has ensured that the control system over the use of state budget is increasingly on target following the recording of a 91.48 percent completion rate for follow-up actions on recommendations from the Financial Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia.
Kemkomdigi Secretary General Ismail emphasised that following up on the BPK audit results is not merely fulfilling administrative obligations, but ensuring that state budget truly returns to the public in the form of services.
“Every recommendation is followed up so that budget utilisation is increasingly on target and has a direct impact on the public,” said Ismail in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He explained that this governance improvement directly affects the quality of programmes, from expanding internet access, supporting digital SMEs, to strengthening public protection in the digital space.
With consistent improvements, he said, the ministry can curb waste, accelerate programme execution, and ensure public services continue without interruption.
Kemkomdigi assures that more orderly budget use will speed up the implementation of priority programmes, allowing the public to experience more equitable, safe, and easily accessible digital services.
Financial governance improvements directly accelerate the implementation of the Connected, Growing, and Protected strategy.
These efforts support access to online learning, remote health services, and faster government administration services.
In the Growing aspect, the budget is directed towards strengthening the digital economy for the public.
In the Protected aspect, the budget supports enhancements in security and public protection in the digital space.
Focus is placed on implementing child protection policies, increasing digital literacy, as well as monitoring risky content and misuse of personal data.
Kemkomdigi ensures that the Connected, Growing, and Protected strategy is present in forms that can be directly felt by the public, from more equitable internet access, open business opportunities, to a safer digital space for the entire family.
