Kemkomdigi encourages creative and light-hearted news reporting
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi) is encouraging a more creative and light-hearted approach to news presentation in the PSO Press Sector, while maintaining credibility, so that the information conveyed can be more easily understood and its benefits felt by the public. Director General of Public Communication and Media at Kemkomdigi, Fifi Aleyda Yahya, exemplified that a creative approach could be applied through narratives reinforced with data visualisation or attractive graphics. “The content format may be light, but it remains credible because the way the message is delivered is just as important as the message itself,” said Fifi at the Kick Off event for the Implementation of PSO Press Sector 2026 at the Antara Heritage Center, Jakarta, on Tuesday. She urged the PSO Press Sector to become a public communication tool for government priority programmes that is present on relevant platforms and packaged in a way that is easy to understand and beneficial to the public. “In other words, future PSO Press must be informative, communicative, adaptive, and impactful,” she stated. She emphasised that the National News Agency (LKBN) Antara not only plays the role of implementing the PSO Press Sector programme but also serves as a reference for public information. “PSO Press is not just a programme; it is a strategic instrument to ensure the public receives quality, credible information that reaches all levels,” said Fifi. “This PSO Press Sector is directed to strengthen the narrative of implementing national priority development programmes in the government’s 2026 work plan, which carries the theme of food and energy sovereignty as well as productive and inclusive economic growth,” said Benny.
