The Ministry of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN-RB) is facilitating local governments (pemda) in compiling service standards for Public Service Malls (MPP) through the support of a digital application. “We have prepared a digital application so that regions can more easily compile service standards,” said Deputy for Public Services at KemenPAN-RB, Otok Kuswandaru, during a break while inspecting the MPP of Gianyar Regency, Bali, on Thursday. He urged local governments, including the Gianyar Regency Government, to compile service standards for all types of services in the MPP to provide certainty of process for the public. According to him, both central and local governments need to provide public services that are easy, fast, and integrated. “Service standards serve as a reference in evaluating service performance,” he stated. He also appreciated the condition of the Gianyar Regency MPP, which he assessed as clean, comfortable, and providing good services. Nevertheless, the final assessment is still determined through public satisfaction surveys. “I directly observed that services here are running well, but the final assessment remains with the public satisfaction survey,” he said. “We utilise various service applications to minimise potential conflicts of interest,” he added. He further explained that the implemented digital system allows the service process to become more transparent because the public and business actors can directly monitor the service stages. Currently, the Gianyar Regency MPP serves an average of 250 to 370 people per day. In March, the number of people who have received services reached 3,930, despite several religious holiday closures.
