Kemenkum Riau Islands Harmonises Draft Regent's Regulation on RSUD Natuna Service Tariffs
Tanjungpinang (ANTARA) - The Riau Islands Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, together with RSUD Natuna District Hospital, is harmonising the Draft Regent’s Regulation (Ranperbup) related to health service tariffs.
“This step aims to solidify the legal framework for health services in the regional public service unit (BLUD),” said the Head of the Division of Legislation and Legal Development, Riau Islands Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Oki Wahju Budijanto, during a virtual meeting with RSUD and Natuna Health Office (Dinkes) officials on Thursday.
He appreciated the Natuna District Government for fulfilling the mandate of Law No. 13 of 2022 regarding procedures for forming legislation through the harmonisation process at the regional office.
“This is a crucial step in compiling a high-quality legal framework for public services in the region,” he said.
Wahju emphasised that adjustments to RSUD Natuna’s health service tariffs must be based on Law No. 1 of 2022 on Financial Relations between the Central Government and Regional Governments (HKPD) and Government Regulation No. 35 of 2023 on General Provisions for Regional Taxes and Levies (KUPDRD).
He also suggested involving academics and professional institutions in determining tariffs to ensure service costs do not burden the public while still supporting hospital development.
“Through this harmonisation, it is hoped that the RSUD Natuna tariff Ranperbup not only meets technical regulations drafting standards but also ensures public accessibility to increasingly quality, extensive, and reachable health services,” he stated.
Meanwhile, RSUD and Dinkes Natuna stated that the tariff adjustment is intended to respond to developments in service types and advancements in the latest health support equipment.
This step is urgent to maintain the system’s sustainability and improve service quality towards better outcomes for the people of Natuna.
