Kemenkum Babel Grants Copyright Certificates for 'WAR 13' Song and Children's Book

The Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law for the Bangka Belitung Islands, Johan Manurung, has presented a copyright registration certificate for the song ‘WAR 13’ to its creator, Asmini, as part of the Ministry of Law’s commitment to providing legal protection for the intellectual works of the community. ‘Today, we are also presenting a copyright registration certificate for the book Cerita Anak Hebat by Eva Fidia Lestari,’ said Johan Manurung during the handover ceremony in Pangkalpinang on Tuesday. He stated that copyright registration represents the state’s presence in providing legal certainty and appreciation to creators for their intellectual works. ‘Every work born from public creativity has value that must be respected and protected. Through this easy and fast copyright registration service, we want to ensure creators obtain legal certainty so they are more motivated to continue creating and innovating,’ he said. He noted that the song ‘WAR 13’ conveys a message about the importance of the 13-year compulsory education programme. Through educational lyrics, the song encourages the public, especially children and teenagers, to remain enthusiastic about pursuing education to achieve their aspirations and a better future. ‘The handover of this certificate is expected to raise public awareness of the importance of intellectual property protection while encouraging more regional creative works to obtain legal protection and provide economic benefits for their creators,’ he said. The creator of ‘WAR 13’, Asmini, expressed appreciation to the Bangka Belitung Regional Office of the Ministry of Law for the copyright registration service, which was fast, easy, and provided legal certainty for creators. ‘The process was very easy and fast. Once all the requirements were complete, the certificate could be issued in about 10 minutes. This kind of service really helps creators to quickly obtain legal protection for their works,’ he said.
