This coordination meeting serves as a strategic forum to align understanding, strengthen cross-ministry, agency, and local government coordination, and formulate concrete steps in implementing a secure, reliable, and sustainable SPBE.

Banyuwangi (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Coordinating Political and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polkam) has emphasised that government digitalisation through the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) must be balanced with strengthened cyber security.

Assistant Deputy for Prevention and Enhancement of Cyber Security Capacity at Kemenko Polkam, Air Marshal TNI Budi Eko Pratomo, stated that digital transformation via SPBE is one of the main pillars in improving the quality of public services and government governance.

“This coordination meeting serves as a strategic forum to align understanding, strengthen coordination across ministries, agencies, and local governments, and formulate concrete steps in implementing a secure, reliable, and sustainable SPBE,” Budi said during the cyber security strengthening coordination meeting in Banyuwangi, East Java, on Wednesday.

According to him, the acceleration of digitalisation has not yet been fully matched with cyber security enhancements, potentially posing risks to service reliability, data protection, and government system stability.

“Banyuwangi serves as an example of best practices in SPBE implementation, including as a national pilot for social aid digitalisation. This demonstrates the region’s success in innovatively integrating digital public services oriented towards community needs,” he said.

Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Communication, Informatics, and Encryption Agency of Banyuwangi Regency, Budi Santoso, conveyed that the success of SPBE in his area is inseparable from the regional head’s commitment to promoting public service digitalisation.

“With the regional head’s commitment, digitalisation has become part of the main infrastructure being built, and currently 217 villages in Banyuwangi have utilised fibre optics. SPBE implementation is also supported by all Regional Work Units (OPD) up to village governments,” he said.

“Evaluation and monitoring of SPBE implementation progress are also conducted regularly every week by the Regent, attended by all OPD,” he added.

He further mentioned that regarding cyber security, Banyuwangi Regency currently has a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), established through a Regent’s Regulation, as a team for responding to cyber security incidents formed to protect information access, digital public services, and ICT infrastructure.
