Kemenko PM Optimises Local Potential to Achieve Regional Independence
East Lampung (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Coordinating for Community Empowerment (Kemenko PM) continues to carry out strategic strengthening in East Lampung Regency by prioritising a community-based empowerment paradigm.
Deputy for Coordinating Community Economic Empowerment and Protection of Migrant Workers at Kemenko PM, Leontinus Alpha Edison, in Lampung on Thursday, stated that this step aims to optimise local potential through the enhancement of social and economic capital to realise sustainable regional independence.
“Our presence in East Lampung is to ensure that the Empowered Pioneer Concept grows alongside local wisdom. We are striving to transform dependency into independence by building a resilient village economic ecosystem, where every local champion or local driving figure becomes its main pillar,” said Leontinus Alpha Edison.
Therefore, Kemenko PM held a Dialogue with Deputy (DBD) session in East Lampung, which emphasises the importance of meaningful public participation.
As a state organiser, they act as an active listener to gather real aspirations and innovative solutions directly from business actors and cooperative managers.
This, he said, is crucial so that regulations produced through the Coordination, Synchronisation, and Control (KSP) function can be inclusive and solution-oriented for field needs.
According to him, the protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) must start from strengthening social capital at the village level.
“The state is present to ensure that community support networks in villages become the first fortress of protection for our migrant workers, ensuring they depart with correct information and return with sustainable success,” he stated.
This activity involved academics, business associations, and civil society organisations in a workshop on strategies for collaborative and sustainable ecosystem development.
