Kemenhan's Bacadnas Releases 2,000 Civil Servants to Participate in Komcad Education

The Ministry of Defence (Kemenhan) has begun implementing a Komponen Cadangan (Komcad) education programme for 4,000 civil servants (ASN). Head of Bacadnas Kemenhan, Lieutenant General Gabriel Lema, expressed thanks to 49 ministries and state institutions that have sent 2,000 ASN to participate in the 1.5-month Komcad education. “This is the first programme of the year, in this first wave, 2,000 ASN will join to undergo latsarmil (military basic training),” said Gabriel at Monas, Central Jakarta, on Monday (13/4/2026). Gabriel released the ASN to attend Komcad education at six TNI education and training institutions. The six designated training locations are Rindam Jaya in Condet, East Jakarta; Pasmar 1 in Cilandak, South Jakarta; Wingdik 500 at Lanud Atang Sendjaja in Bogor Regency; and Pusdikkes Puskessad in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. Additionally, Puskom Bela Negara Kemenhan in Rumpin, Bogor Regency; and finally, the Language Centre at Halim Perdanakusuma, East Jakarta. Gabriel explained that the basis for the Komcad education programme is Articles 27 and 30 of the 1945 Constitution, which regulate national defence. Therefore, during the education period, the ASN will receive materials and curriculum in the context of latsarmil. “The concept is simple: how we build awareness and character starting with unity, understanding duties, then concern, and forming the spirit of corps soul,” said Gabriel.
