Indonesia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj), in collaboration with the Consular Functions Team of the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah (KJRI Jeddah), provided assistance to Umrah pilgrims during their return process through King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

‘Staff remain on the ground to monitor Indonesian Umrah pilgrims at King Abdulaziz International Airport. We ensure pilgrims receive clear information and assistance throughout the return process,’ said M. Ilham Effendy, Hajj Technical Officer at the Jeddah Hajj Office, in Jakarta, on Friday (6 March 2026).

Based on field surveillance reports, on 5 March 2026, 2,735 Indonesian Umrah pilgrims were monitored and received assistance in their return journey via several airlines.

All monitored flights on that day were reported to depart according to their scheduled times. Accordingly, cumulatively, the number of Indonesian Umrah pilgrims who have been monitored returning to the homeland reached 14,796 people from 28 February 2026 to 5 March 2026.
