Kemenekraf: Creative Economy Actors Should Not Fear Taking Government Projects
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemenekraf) has urged creative economy actors not to feel afraid or worried about taking on government projects.
Director of Publishing and Photography at Kemenekraf, Iman Santosa, conveyed this after widespread media coverage of the alleged corruption case involving budget inflation by videographer Amsal Christy Sitepu. According to him, the government has learned much from this case and is committed to making improvements.
“We urge creative economy actors not to be afraid anymore to take on government projects because from incidents like this, we have learned a lot, and in the future, we will carry out improvements,” said Iman during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.
The preparation of these guidelines involves various stakeholders such as associations and communities operating in the creative industry.
Once these guidelines are issued, Iman said Kemenekraf will emphasise socialisation of the rules to the public as well as among ministries and agencies.
Kemenekraf facilitates a dialogue space for all creative economy actors through public services on the ppid.ekraf.go.id channel. That channel serves requests for information and complaints from creative economy actors for resolving issues in the creative economy ecosystem.
Previously, there was widespread discussion on social media regarding the alleged corruption case in the management and creation of local village communication and informatics networks or installations in Karo Regency, North Sumatra, for the 2020-2022 fiscal years.
According to the Karo Regency Inspectorate, the conceptual price or idea, clip-on/microphone, cutting, editing, and dubbing should have been valued at Rp0 or free.
