Jakarta — The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) is prepared to establish a monitoring post to oversee the implementation of the Academic Ability Test (TKA) at the primary and lower secondary education levels (SD-SMP). Rahmawati, head of the Centre for Educational Assessment at Kemendikdasmen, said the monitoring post would involve all members of the technical team at the provincial level. ‘Then on the day, God willing, there will be a post, involving all technical teams or provincial technical team coordinators because that greatly facilitates direct communication with the field,’ Rahmawati said during a Journalists Forum and breaking fast with Kemendikdasmen in Tangerang City, Banten Province, on Wednesday afternoon. If schools encounter issues during the TKA, she said the team stationed at the post will promptly address the problems. ‘From the province, it usually goes to the district, then directly to the schools; this can be done more quickly if there are issues,’ she added. At present, SD-level TKA participants are undergoing a simulation phase conducted by schools in collaboration with regional governments (pemda). Next, she said participants will go through a dry run from 9-17 March 2026. Rahmawati said the dry run is the final step in ensuring technical readiness, operational readiness, and service prior to the main implementation day. Kemendikdasmen also provides a free TKA training portal accessible at https://pusmendik.kemdikbud.go.id/tka/ on the ‘Ayo Coba TKA!’ menu.
