Kemendikdasmen: Integrated National School SPMB Allocates 80 Percent Quota for Academic Pathway
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has stated that 80 percent of the quota for the Integrated National School New Student Admissions (SPMB) is allocated for the academic pathway, with the remaining 20 percent for the non-academic pathway. Through the Director General of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Non-formal and Informal Education Decree Number 0026 of 2026 concerning Technical Guidelines for the Integrated National School New Student Admissions for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, the ministry affirmed the weighting rules for each SPMB pathway. “The selection of prospective Integrated National School students is carried out by considering two pathway schemes, namely the academic and non-academic pathways,” said Director General of PAUD, Dikdas, PNFI, Gogot, in Central Jakarta on Wednesday.
For the non-academic pathway, the weighting is as follows: 25 percent is taken from scholastic aptitude test results, 25 percent from academic competency test (TKA) scores, 10 percent from report card grades, 30 percent from the equalisation score of non-academic achievement certificates at a minimum district/city level, and 10 percent is allocated for an economic affirmation policy based on KIP/PKH/DTKS. Regarding the equalisation of prospective students’ achievement certificates, both academic and non-academic, the ministry has prepared a conversion table attached to the technical guidelines.
As for general requirements, the ministry mandates that prospective students registering for junior high school (SMP) must be a maximum of 15 years old by 1 July of the current year, or a maximum of 21 years old for those registering for senior high school (SMA). In addition, applicants must attach a printed National Student Identification Number (NISN) document, a photocopy of a legalised diploma or certificate of graduation, a photocopy of the last five semesters’ report cards with an average score of 80 that has been legalised, and a TKA result certificate.
