Kemendes Conducts BUMDes Ranking to Enhance Performance

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Villages and Underdeveloped Regions (Kemendes PDT) has stated that the implementation of ranking for Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) and joint BUMDes aims to accelerate the development of these village-owned enterprises.

“Come on, today let us together complete the data so that we can measure the performance of BUMDes and accelerate the development of BUMDes towards better directions,” said Director of Institutional Development for Village and Underdeveloped Region Economy and Investment at Kemendes PDT, Theresia Junidar, during the Socialisation of BUMDes/Joint BUMDes Ranking for 2026, which was attended online in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Theresia stated that the ranking serves as an important instrument in periodically evaluating BUMDes performance.

Through the ranking, continued Theresia, Kemendes PDT can review the performance of BUMDes over the past year. Thus, the position of BUMDes can be determined based on the level of business development, namely pioneering, beginner, developing, or advanced.

“This basis of BUMDes status will be used for interventions in coaching BUMDes, whether through government assistance or other forms of support,” said Theresia Junidar.

She added that the ranking results will also provide a real picture of the national condition of BUMDes, which can be utilised as a basis for policy-making from the village level to the central level.

She also invited all BUMDes that have legal entity status to actively participate in the ranking so that the performance measurement process can run optimally.

Previously, Theresia had announced that the deadline for data entry for the BUMDes and joint BUMDes ranking has been extended until 10 May 2026. The previous deadline of 18 April 2026 was extended because many BUMDes have not yet registered or completed their data input.
