Kemayoran Management Centre strengthens transformation into an integrated business district
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Kemayoran Complex Management Centre (PPK Kemayoran) as a Public Service Agency (BLU) under the State Secretariat Ministry is strengthening the integrated business district that combines residential, commercial, office functions up to an international activity centre.
PPK Kemayoran Director Teddy Robinson Siahaan stated that the Kemayoran area in Central Jakarta has a strategic position to develop into a new economic growth centre in Jakarta because it still has vast development space amid land limitations in several premium areas of the capital.
“We see that PPK Kemayoran has advantages as a strategic area in the city centre with very large development potential,” said Teddy in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
As part of this transformation, PPK Kemayoran is preparing internal shuttle bus services as part of developing the smart and connected living concept in the Kemayoran area.
The internal transportation service is designed to connect various points within the area to improve mobility efficiency and connectivity between facilities in the approximately 450-hectare area.
According to Teddy, strengthening the area’s connectivity is one of the important factors to increase Kemayoran’s competitiveness amid the development of other premium areas in Jakarta.
The presence of JIExpo makes Kemayoran one of the largest meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) centres in Indonesia. Exhibition activities and international agendas in the area also create significant economic movement.
In addition, the existence of the Athletes’ Residence strengthens the integrated area ecosystem between residential functions and commercial activities.
PPK Kemayoran is also continuing to strengthen area management through improvements in security systems, integrated surveillance, as well as sustainable environmental and cleanliness arrangements in the area.
Amid the density of Central Jakarta, the Kemayoran area also maintains open green spaces to support healthier and more comfortable area development.
Teddy stated that the integrated area concept is an important asset to drive Kemayoran to compete with other premium areas in Jakarta.
“With the integrated concept, strengthening, connectivity, and support from developed facilities, we are optimistic that Kemayoran can become a new premium area on par with other leading areas in Jakarta,” he said.
