Kemala Run 2026 Highlights Role of Sport in Humanitarian Action

The presence of National Police Traffic Corps Chief Agus Suryonugroho at the Kemala Run 2026 pre-event at the Gelora Bung Karno stadium on Sunday, 15 February 2026, reaffirmed the National Police’s commitment as an institution that is not only present in traffic management duties but also active in social and humanitarian movements.

Behind the organisation of Kemala Run 2026, the role of Bhayangkari Chairwoman and Kemala Run General Chairwoman Juliati Listyo Sigit Prabowo has been the primary driving force. Carrying the theme “Charity for Indonesia”, she has positioned Kemala Run as a structured social movement that channels participants’ entry fees towards assisting the recovery of natural disaster victims across various regions.

Kemala Run 2026 Committee Chairman Deni Agus Suryonugroho called upon running communities, sports enthusiasts, members of the Indonesian Armed Forces and National Police, Bhayangkari, and Persit Jala to play an active role in this humanitarian effort.

“Every step and every stride to the finish line represents hope for our fellow citizens affected by disasters,” he said.

The main Kemala Run 2026 event, scheduled to be held on 19 April 2026 in Bali, is targeting 10,000 participants, reflecting its appeal at both national and international levels. Three race categories — Half Marathon 21.1 km, 10 km, and 5 km — have been prepared with total prize money reaching Rp3.5 billion.

However, beyond mere figures and prizes, the strength of Kemala Run lies in its inclusive concept. The involvement of fostered small and medium enterprises, the promotion of local wisdom, musical entertainment, and workshops make this event a driver of both economic and social impact simultaneously.
