Kejagung Examines Secretary to Head of BGN in MBG Programme Corruption Case
The Indonesian Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has examined the Secretary to the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), identified by the initials RRNWP, as a witness in a corruption case involving the management of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme at the agency.
Kapuspenkum Kejagung RI, Anang Supriatna, stated that investigators had scheduled the examination of 22 witnesses on Tuesday. However, only 12 individuals complied with the summons, including RRNWP. “The investigative team summoned 22 people to provide statements, and 12 witnesses attended the summons,” Anang said in a statement to reporters on Tuesday (11/8/2026).
The 12 witnesses who underwent examination included O, a Support Staff member for the PPK for Tablet Procurement at BGN; RHG, a BGN employee; WH, from the TBCS Foundation; GDF, a BGN employee; Z, a BGN employee; YCS; RRNWP, the Secretary to the Head of BGN; RE, a Finance Staff member at PT GSN; a representative from PT KSK; the Director of PT BPK; AR, the Director of PT EC; and DRP, the Head of SPPG at the SPB Foundation.
Anang explained that the witness examination process is part of the effort to gather evidence to clarify the case’s construction, including tracing assets suspected to be proceeds of crime. He further emphasised that the investigation will continue to be conducted professionally, independently, and accountably. Investigators uphold the presumption of innocence and the principle of prudence. “The investigative team will continue to convey the progress of the case handling to the public as needed and in accordance with statutory regulations,” he added.
For context, the Attorney General’s Office has named seven suspects in this corruption case within the BGN for the 2025-2026 period. The suspects range from former BGN officials to the director of a company supplying electric motors to the agency. The AGO suspects irregularities in the management of the MBG programme, including alleged affiliations between the suspects and the foundations managing the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG), as well as suspected price markups in the procurement of electric motors, shoes, tablets, and televisions. The seven suspects are former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana, former BGN Deputy Head Sony Sonjaya, former BGN Deputy Head Lodewyk Pusung, Sony’s close associate Asep Yusuf Somantri, PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal Commissioner Andri Mulyono, Indonesia Food Security Review Foundation Chair Glory Harimas Sihombing, and BGN Deputy Secretary for Promotion and Cooperation Lalu Muhammad Iwan.
